PURPOSE:To obtain a high and a uniform screen luminance by providing a lens body consisting of plural lenses on the lower face side of a liquid crystal display element, and providing a light source on the lower face side of the lens body corresponding to each lens. CONSTITUTION:On the lower face side of a liquid crystal display element 1, a lens body 2 being a light leading body is provided. As for the lens body 2, plural pieces of hexagonal Fresnel lenses 2a whose size is about 6mm are formed adjacently as one body. On the lower face side of the lens body 2, a reflecting plate 3 on which semi-spherical reflecting surfaces 3a have been formed, respectively, in accordance with the Fresnel lenses 2a is provided, and on the bottom face of the reflecting surfaces 3a, a light source 4 consisting of light emitting diodes whose size is about 1mm, respectively is provided. In this way, light beams of plural light sources 4 become a surface light source by the lens body 2 consisting of plural lenses 2a corresponding to each of them, therefore, a screen luminance distribution becomes uniform. Also, since a distance extending from the light source 4 to the liquid crystal display element 1 can be shortened, a high luminance is obtained. |
