PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic lighting device that does not require a switch for cutting off preheating and therefore is advantageous for cost. SOLUTION: The lighting device of a discharge lamp that has a filament comprises a frequency selection device that suppresses additional heating current in the electronic filament during lighting of a lamp. Thereby, preheating of the electrode filament is possible only in a narrow frequency band.
