PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device supporting mechanism which can adjust with simple constitution so that a surface of an image carrier and a surface facing the image carrier in a developer carrier are in parallel to each other and can easily execute maintenance such as exchange of the developing machine. SOLUTION: Both end parts of a joining member 22 provided at an universal joint 10 being a supporting shaft adjusting means respectively have a spherical shape and recessed parts of the spherical shape are disposed at shaft bearings 21, 23 for receiving the members to be engaged with the both end parts of the joining member 22. Thereby after mounting the developing machine 5 onto an image forming unit, adjustment is executed so that an angle thereof is in parallel to a center axis (a) of a photoreceptor drum 1 by rotating the developing machine supporting axis with an optional axis among X axis, Y axis and Z axis in the figure as a center. |
