PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ferrite sintered body which is obtained by baking a ferrite molded body that is easily released from a molding die, kept free from a molding failure such as fissures caused by spring-back, uniform in quality, high in density, and superior in molding strength. SOLUTION: Ferrite material powder and ethylene-modified polyvinyl alcohol having 4 to 10 mol% ethylene modification, an average polymerization degree of 500 to 1700, and an average saponification degree of 90.0 to 99.5 mol% are mixed together and granulated into ferrite molding granules, at least the surfaces of the ferrite molding granules are partially covered with hexitan ester of higher aliphatic acid whose hydrophilic-lipophilic balance(HLB) is 14 or below, the ferrite granules partially covered with hexitan ester are formed into a ferrite molded body, and the ferrite molded body is baked into a ferrite sintered body. |
