PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor with which a device cost can be reduced in the case of performing various pieces of prescribed correction processing of a binary image and a gradation image in one page. SOLUTION: Multi-level image information holding intermediate density information can be obtained for the purpose of performing gamma correction with a linear characteristic in an intermediate density area of the multi-level image information. In a binary image, simple binarized image information equivalent in the conventional practice can be obtained without damaging the effect of MTF(modulation transfer function) correction for the purpose of performing MTF correction and simple binarization of the multi-level image information. In a gradation image, image information of a gradation image equivalent in the conventional practice can be obtained for the purpose of binarizing the multi-level image information subjected to gamma correction with pseudo halftone. In this case, the device cost is reduced because only one buffer memory is needed. |
