PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the temperature rise of the ambient members of a fixing part after shifting to a power saving mode. SOLUTION: As for the image forming device provided with a fixing part 23 for fixing a transferred toner image to transfer paper by the heat of a heater 23c which is heated up to a fixation temperature, and a cooling fan 26 which is driven with a 1st cooling ability so as to exhaust the heat around the fixing part 23, in the case instructions to form an image are not continuously given for a prescribed time, the device mode is shifted by a control part 4 to the power saving mode of stopping the heating action of the heater 23c up to the fixation temperature, and also, the cooling fan 26 is stopped to be driven later than the device mode is shifted to the power saving mode, and in the case instructions to form an image are given after the device mode is shifted to the power saving mode, a copying operation is made in an stably state until the temperature of the fixing part 23 returns to the fixation temperature, and the copying operation is started when the temperature returns to the fixation temperature. |
