PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently and economically carry out processing by making the amount of transmitting data to a FAX transmission destination includable in one communication. SOLUTION: A document distribution system 1 requested to carry out FAX data conversion of a document and transmission of the converted data accepts the request on the condition of document information as a document file. A document generating terminal 3 creates an attached document such as a transmittal letter and carries out processing of attaching the created attached document to the document file that is accepted and to be faxed. Then the terminal 3 converts the document file after the processing into a file with a document format (BMP or TIFF) of a FAX server 4 and thereafter makes a FAX transmission request to the FAX server 4, and the FAX server 4 faxes the document to a facsimile machine 7 at a service point 8. The service point 8 performs service jobs such as visit to customers or the like on the basis of a result of the received FAX document.
