PURPOSE: A plasma display panel is provided to increase luminous efficiency and color temperature by improving the configuration of barrier ribs and arrangement of upper and lower substrates to increase an aperture ratio. CONSTITUTION: A plasma display panel comprises barrier ribs(3) interposed between an upper substrate and a lower substrate so as to define adjacent display cells; and red, green, and blue phosphors arranged between the barrier ribs. Each of the barrier ribs accommodating each discharge cell of the red, green, and blue phosphors is shaped as a square. The barrier rib accommodating the whole of the red, green, and blue phosphors is shaped also as a square. Two of the display cells of the red, green, and blue phosphors are arranged in parallel with each other in a vertical direction in an upper portion of the barrier rib, and the other one display cell is arranged in a horizontal direction in a lower portion of the barrier rib. |
