<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lightweight rigging device of a sailing merchant ship which is capable of reducing the wind pressure side area and high in the energy-saving effect at low cost. <P>SOLUTION: In the rigging device of the sailing merchant ship, a mast is rotatably erected on a deck, a strut is mounted on the mast, a frame of a lattice shape in frontal view is mounted on the strut, and a furling device is provided on an end part of the strut.
