<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote lecture system capable of letting students know the position of a mark as a point indicated by a lecturer on a screen and letting students using narrow band services receive the lectures. <P>SOLUTION: In a student's site 103, a TV camera 115 takes a picture of the lecturer 105, etc. Image information such as slides from a notebook computer 111 is projected on a screen 106 using a projector 109. Though a pointer capture camera 116 detects the coordinates of the mark projected by a laser pointer 113, the position of the coordinates is so limited as to be within the region of the projected image.
