<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a BGP path information management system which can specify an SP (Shortest Path) between arbitrary two points in an IP network where an intra Sub-AS connection link exists applying an intra-AS connection link and a BGP confederation. <P>SOLUTION: In a BGP path information management system in an IP network, where AS is divided into still smaller Sub-ASs by a BGP confederation, and path information is exchanged by BGP between Sub-ASs, the system periodically connects an ASBR, monitors a change of a path selection policy used by the BGP and a destination NW address starting from the Sub-AS and holds a difference in a DB. Also, the system collects BGP path information to be held in the DB, collects path information within the Sub-AS in the IP network within the Sub-AS to be held in the DB, and prepares End-End path information by using the information held in the DB. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
