PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain glossy high-quality printing recording with good reproducibility thereby contributing to higher definition, etc., by regulating a relationship of a dispersive ink and a medium to be recorded so that an average particle size of colored fine particles is larger than at least an average capillary diameter of a record face of the medium to be recorded. SOLUTION: In printing by an ink-jet recording apparatus a medium 11 to be recorded which has a record face of a smaller average capillary diameter than an average particle size of a coloring material in a recording solution, a dispersive ink in which the coloring material of colored fine resin particles is finely dispersed in a water-based medium is used. When the medium 11 to be recorded which has the smaller average capillary diameter than the average particle size of the coloring material in the recording solution at the record face is to be printed, the dispersive ink in which the coloring material of colored fine resin particles is finely dispersed in the water-based medium is used as the recording solution. Printing with high image quality without exudation of ink is carried out with good reproducibility. The average capillary diameter of the record face of the medium 11 to be recorded is preferably 100 Å or smaller. |
