<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To constitute a good appearance by angularly hold a display body 2 in a plurality of optional positions, to prevent a finger or the like from being caught by a rotary shaft, and to shut out the rotary shaft, in an electronic musical instrument provided with the display body 2 in predetermined position of upper surface of an upper case 1. <P>SOLUTION: The electronic musical instrument provides an accommodation recess 12 on operation panel surface of the upper case 1. It holds the lower part of the display body 2 to be rotatable at front end of the accommodation recess 12 by a hinge mechanism. It extends rear end of an extension 211 into inside of a cover 21 by a turning shaft. It penetrates the extension 211 formed on back surface of the cover 21 of the display body 2 from opening 12a of the accommodation recess 12 into the upper case 1. It connects an optional angular retention mechanism to end of the extension 211 inside of the upper case 1.
