APPARATUS FOR REDUCING THE LOAD OF MAIN MOTOR IN ATM AND THE METHOD THEREOF

An apparatus for reducing load of a main motor in an automatic teller machine and a method thereof are provided to extend a life span of a main motor by reducing the load of the main motor. An apparatus for reducing load of a main motor in an automatic teller machine includes a main motor(120), a complementary box, an electronic clutch(131) and a control unit. The main motor is installed on a predetermined position of an automatic teller machine and rotates a paper money transferring unit. The complementary box has a complementary box injection roller and a relay gear. The complementary box injection roller is installed on the inside to inject a paper money transferred along a returning path by a power of the main motor. An upper part of the relay gear is protruded to an outer part of the case to transfer the power of the main motor to complementary box injection roller. The electronic clutch is installed on an outer part of the complementary box to be geared with the relay gear to transfer or block the power of the main motor to the complementary box injection roller. The control unit controls a power transferring or blocking of the electronic clutch.
