<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance display performance of an electro-optical device such as a liquid crystal device. <P>SOLUTION: The electro-optical device has a TFT 30 disposed in a non-opening region which separates the opening region of each of a plurality of pixels from others on a TFT array substrate, and including a semiconductor layer 1a having a channel region 1a' having a channel length along a Y direction, a data line side source-drain region 1d, a pixel electrode side source-drain region 1e, a data line side LDD (lightly doped drain) region 1b and a pixel electrode side LDD region 1c. Further, the device has a storage capacitor 70a formed in the upper layer side of the semiconductor layer 1a and having a first portion 301 which covers the data line side LDD region 1b and a second portion 302 which covers the pixel electrode side LDD region 1c and has a larger width in the X direction than the first portion 301. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
