<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell capable of more efficiently preventing dew condensation. <P>SOLUTION: Since a DMFC type fuel cell 1 must discharge methanol component contained in gas discharged from a stack 22 after detoxifying them, a methanol combustion tank 60 for combusting methanol is installed on a downstream side than the stack 22. Since the methanol combustion tank 60 carries out an exothermic reaction by a methanol combustion reaction, if a sufficient amount of methanol is supplied to the methanol combustion tank 60 and exotherm is promoted, heat can be given to the high temperature and high humidity gas to pass through the methanol combustion tank 60. Since the exothermic reaction is promoted by supplying methanol to the methanol combustion tank 60 and heat quantity required for preventing dew condensation can be given to the gas, it becomes possible to more efficiently prevent the gas discharged from the stack 22 from forming the dew condensation in piping. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
