Disclosed is a method for determining a motor voltage limit at which a clutch actuator of an automatic transmission remains immobile. Said method comprises the following steps: (a) the withstand voltage is increased or decreased by an increment U based on an actual withstand voltage; and (b) any movement of the clutch actuator during the modified withstand voltage is detected.
