<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shaft sealing method capable of surely sealing, and a rotary valve and a manufacturing method of the rotary valve. <P>SOLUTION: The shaft sealing method, equipped with a main valve shaft 4, and a casing having an insertion hole 7 to which the main valve shaft 4 is inserted, for sealing a gap between an outer peripheral surface of the main valve shaft 4 and an inner peripheral surface of the insertion hole 7, is provided with a step for fitting a ring shaped sealing member 43 in the gap between the outer peripheral surface of the main valve shaft 4 and the inner peripheral surface of the insertion hole 7, and the shaft sealing member 43 is provided with a spiral packing 44 formed by winding an expansion graphite tape 10 having a plurality of protrusions 11 on at least one surface into a roll. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
