<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a speaker characteristic measuring method allowing exact measurement of an impulse response in a short time in all azimuths. <P>SOLUTION: The speaker characteristic measuring method comprises a step S1 of arranging a microphone on the front surface of a speaker and determining the impulse response for reference azimuth recognition, a step S2 of rotating the speaker beyond one rotation from a state where the front surface axis of the speaker is separated from the direction of the microphone, inputting an M-system signal to the speaker during the rotation, and storing a received sound signal of the microphone, a step S3 of determining a plurality of impulse responses in the period when the front axis surface of the speaker points to the microphone and its proximity region based on the data obtained at the step S2, a step S4 of selecting the response most similar to the impulse response for reference azimuth recognition from them and setting it as the impulse response in the reference azimuth, and a step S5 of determining the impulse response in each azimuth other than the reference azimuth based on the data obtained at the step S2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
