PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the appearance of an air bag by preventing the deformation of a main body thereof when it is two-color formed. SOLUTION: An instrument panel 1 for an air bag, a main body 11 having an air bag expanding opening 12 is formed of a hard synthetic resin and then an air bag cover 2 closing the air bag expanding opening 12 is integrally two- color formed of thermoplastic elastomer compatible with the hard synthetic resin. A recessed groove 14 is formed around the air bag expanding opening 12 of the main body 11 and is engaged with the projection of a forming die to regulate the deformation of the main body 11 by injection pressure applied thereto when the air bag cover is formed.
