A lens implant (1) made of a flexible material and comprising a central optical portion (6) and peripheral members for supporting and centering it in the capsular sac (9) of the eye, wherein the central optical portion is a deformable lens having a convex rear surface, and the peripheral members consist of a peripheral edge (8) having substantially the same outside diameter as the equatorial diameter of the capsular sac when it is inactive, and a thin dome (7) connecting the lens (6) to the peripheral edge (8), which edge is resiliently deformable and acts as a tensioning member for the dome (7). |
