The invention relates to a boat propulsion method and system using sea waves, which harnesses the oscillatory kinetic energy of the waves and deflects said energy backward in order to make use of same. The invention consists of pairs of curved or bent pipes which are positioned on the sides of boats and which direct the rising and falling flow of the waves backward, resulting in a reaction or the positive propulsion of the vessel independently of the direction or origin of said waves. According to the invention, one pipe includes an inlet in the lower portion thereof, which diverts the rising flow backward, and another inlet in the upper portion thereof, which diverts the falling flow backward. In one variant of the invention, tilting blades are used instead of bent pipes.
