An exhaust gas recirculation system is provided to supply the exhaust gas to the intake system stably because the expanding portion the buffer function although amount of the exhaust gas passing the recovery path is drastically increased. An exhaust gas recirculation system comprises a cylinder block(100) in which recovery paths(122,124) in which exhaust gas(105) flows are integrated; and an intake unit(125) in which the exhaust gas flows in through the recovery path. In the recovery path, the expanded pipe portion whereof the diameter is enlarged is formed. The expanded pipe portion is integrated in the cylinder block positioned behind an EGR valve(115).
