<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that the writing security restriction of a recording medium can not be confirmed unless the data of the recording medium are acquired by a recording device, and the data are displayed at the display part of the recording device in a conventional recording system. <P>SOLUTION: This recording medium includes a data recording part for recording data from a recording/reproduction device; an allowable information storage part for storing an allowable recording frequency for recording the data in the data recording part; a recording frequency information storage part for storing the recording frequency information recorded in the data recording part; a recording frequency information updating part for adding the recording frequency of the recording frequency information storage part in recording it in the data recording part; a recording frequency decision part for comparing the recording frequency updated by the recording frequency information updating part with the allowable recording frequency recorded in the allowable information storage part; and a warning display part for deciding a difference between the actual recording frequency and the preset allowable recording frequency value by the recording frequency decision part, and for outputting a warning signal.
