<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flexible tube in a separated pulmonary ventilation instrument, and a posture setting method for the flexible tube which prevents damages especially at the carina section from occurring when the flexible tube is inserted and enables the distal end section of the flexible tube to easily and blindly be inserted in a desired bronchi, and the position to be set without performing a final check of the distal end section using an expensive instrument such as a fiberscope for bronchi. <P>SOLUTION: In this flexible tube in the separated pulmonary ventilation instrument, a first flexible tube 9 and a second flexible tube 10 are equipped with a member for bending the distal end section such as an elastic member, a shape memory alloy, a magnetic body and so forth. Each flexible tube is set in a manner to be estranged at a specified angle under a natural state by the urging force or the repulsive force of the magnetic body. While, a posture holding means is provided which integrates the first flexible tube 9 and the second flexible tube 10 without estranging them.
