The device (1) has an actuating shaft (6) provided with an actuator (2) e.g. rotary knob or push button, and driven around a rotation axis (7). The shaft stays in connection with a switching and/or control device (4) in such a manner that positioning of the switching and/or control device is changed by rotation of the actuator. The actuating shaft universally stays in connection with the actuator, and the actuator is supported on a cover (3) in a rotatably controlled manner. A locking unit is provided for gradual rotation of the actuator.
