PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a caster having a base isolation function.SOLUTION: An axle includes a first sliding surface 361 and a second sliding surface 362 having different radiuses and arranged in a peripheral direction. When the axle is rotated so that the second sliding surface 362 can slide downward into contact with an inner peripheral surface 210 of a bearing bush 21 of a wheel, the contact area of the inner peripheral surface 210 of the bearing bush 21 and the second sliding surface 362 is reduced, and thus the movement of an installed article can be facilitated by reducing the rotational torque of the wheel. On the other hand, when the axle is rotated so that the first sliding surface 361 can slide downward into contact with the inner peripheral surface 210 of the bearing bush 21 of the wheel, the contact area of the inner peripheral surface 210 of the bearing bush 21 and the first sliding surface 361 is increased, and thus the movement of the installed article can be made difficult by increasing the rotational torque of the wheel. Thus, when torque equal to or higher than the rotational torque is applied on a wheel 2, and oscillation of an installation place is transmitted to the installed article, this oscillation can be damped by rotating the wheel.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 |
