PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely arrange a fixture in a prescribed position without wrong insertion by providing a plurality of fixtures, setting the prescribed dimension of the press-in part of the other fixture larger than the prescribed dimension of the press-in part of one fixture, providing a protruded projection part in the thickness direction of the connecting part of one fixture, and providing a positioning groove in one insert hole of an insulator. SOLUTION: This electric connector has an insulator 12 for holding and fixing a plurality of contacts 14 and fixtures A18, B20 for fixing the insulator to a substrate provided on both longitudinal end sides of the insulator 12. The A-dimension 27 of the press-in part A26 of each fixture A18, B20 is set larger than the A-dimension 27 of the press-in part B28 thereof. A protruded projection part 30 is provided in the thickness direction of the connecting part B24 of one fixture B20, and a positioning groove of the size for inserting the projection part 30 of the fixture B20 is provided on one insert hole B of the insulator 12. Accordingly, the fixture B20 can not be fitted to the other insert hole of the insulator 12, or the fixture A18 can not be fitted to the insert hole B of the insulator 12, so that the wrong insertion can be prevented. |
