PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow an inorganic pigment difficult to liquefy and easy to settle out when is colloidal-dispersed into a liquid, to be used for a thermal lens forming element.SOLUTION: There is provided a thermal lens forming element 100 including a control light absorbing region with an inorganic porous particle layer 6 impregnated with a mixture organic solvent 10, the layer 6 being made of inorganic porous particles containing pigments, in the front surfaces and in holes of the particles, absorbing a light with the wavelength of a control light and not absorbing a light with the wavelength of a signal light and the solvent 10 having the same index of refraction as the inorganic porous particles.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2c |
