PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the radio telephone set that can use a telephone directory function built in a portable telephone set even in an area where the use of the portable telephone set is inhibited. SOLUTION: A flag denoting alternatively a mode 1 where all circuits of the radio telephone set are operated or a mode 2 where only required function parts to realize a telephone directory function are operated is set through the operation of an entry operation key 41 and the content of the flag is stored in a nonvolatile mode memory 45. In the case that the mode 2 is selected, the processing for boosting a radio section 5 is omitted at raising a power supply and then no radio wave is sent/received in mistake. Furthermore, in the case of selecting the mode 2, power consumption is suppressed by interrupting power supply to the radio section 5. |
