PURPOSE:To improve fuel consumption and power efficiency by setting a desired value of the transmission gear ratio or change speed according to the minimum fuel consumption ratio to be used for transmission control when the throttle opening degree is smaller than the full opening, and correcting the desired value according to acceleration when the throttle is fully open. CONSTITUTION:The throttle opening degree is determined by a full openining determining unit 60, and in the partially open area where it is smaller than the full opening, a desired transmission gear ratio according to the minimum fuel consumption ratio from a desired transmission gear ratio detector 48 is entered in a change speed calculating unit 48 for transmission control. On the contrary, when the throttle is fully open, the full opening signal from the full opening determining unit 60 is entered in a correcting unit 63 in which the desired value is corrected. At this time, an acceleration detector 61 and a driving force determining unit 62 determine the driving force from the acceleration to determine the correction factor. Thus, the fuel consumption is improved in the partially open area, and the power efficiency is improved through down- shift correction, when the throttle is fully open. |
