PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate necessity for adding a new sensor to a vehicle and enhance the operating feeling of a steering wheel. SOLUTION: A power steering device is structured so that a hydraulic pump 22 is driven by an electric motor 21 and a power assist is conducted by the oil pressure which the hydraulic pump 22 generates. Therein the current of the electric motor 21 varying in compliance with the operating torque of a steering wheel 11 is detected, and the motor 21 is controlled to the desired revolving speed preset in accordance with the detected current. |
