<p>The active agent and propellant are accommodated separately in a reservoir (50-150 ml.) wth both liquid and gaseous phases present. A body insoluble in the liquid (pref. a hollow polyethylene or Al tube) is partially immersed in the liquid and communicates its interior with the liquid via an aperture; at least part of the cavity is filled with the gaseous phase. Opt. the body may be porous e.g. vermiculite, pumice, charcoal or bone. The propellant is pref. (iso)butane, isobutylene or vinyl chloride.</p> |
