The flooring element is in the form of a chipboard panel, with a continuous panel of foamed plastic glued onto its underside, as used between a concrete or other ceiling and a floor covering, with the foamed plastic providing heat and sound insulation. Here a series of parallel wide groove-shaped recesses (3, 4) is incorporated in the top and bottom bearing surface of the foamed panel (2) leaving cross-stems (5, 6) between them which are narrower. The recesses on one bearing surface are offset relative to those on the other, in such a way that there is always a cross-stem on one side opposite to a recess on the other side. The grooves may be rectangular, trapezoid or round-edged in cross-section. A layer of moisture-checking material may be let into the top surface of the chipboard panel. Deformation of the chipboard panel, resulting from uneven moisture retention, is prevented.
|
