Multiway pipe junction for hydraulic pipes - has base member for selective attachment of stub pipes by friction welding

The multiway pipe junction esp. for hydraulic pipes comprises a base member (1) of prismatic pref. cubic shape to which stub branch pipes (2) are connected by adhering or welding. The base member has holes at right angles to its surfaces and meeting at its centre. The branch pipes pref. have bevels (3) which fit opposite bevels at the mouths of the holes. The branch pipes may be joined in the base member at surfaces where the latter does not already have a hole, and the hole may be drilled using the branch pipes as a pilot. The joining may be by friction welding.
