NEW MATERIAL:A substance of glycoprotein having activity to promote differentiation and multiplication of macrophane through action on a marrow cell, having 33,000-43,000daltons molecular weight measured by SDS polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis under non-reducing condition and 23,000-40,000daltons measured by gel filtration under non-reducing condition and having a protein part of N-terminal aminoacid sequence expressed by the formula. USE:A preventive and remedy for infective diseases and a remedy for marrow transplantation. PREPARATION:For example, a cultured and established cell strain of human T cell: AGR-ON is cultured in newborn calf serum and the culture fluid is centrifuged to obtain a supernatant liquid of the culture fluid. Then the supernatant liquid is concentrated by such as ultrafiltration and purified by gel-filtration, affinity chromatography, ion-exchange chromatography, etc., to obtain the aimed glycoprotein substance promoting differentiation and multiplication of macrophage. |
