PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a card reader capable of pulling out a slid magnetic card without hitting it on a desk even in the case of setting the operation surface of a card reader to a high angle. SOLUTION: This card reader is mounted on an angle adapter 26 capable of freely changing an inclination angle and is composed of a groove 25 for sliding the magnetic card 17 to be read and a head unit 23 mounted adjacently to the groove for reading the slid magnetic card. The groove 25 is provided with a groove angle change part 27 for changing the sliding angle near the sliding end of the magnetic card and the slid magnetic card is pulled out without hitting it on the desk even in the case of setting the inclination of the groove 25 to the high angle.
