PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically extract a desired object from moving images. SOLUTION: An area extraction processing part is constituted of an initial input data preparation part 11 for preparing initial input data by the instruction of an input device, an area selection part 12 for selecting an area to be extracted corresponding to the initial input data, a template preparation part 13 for preparing a template corresponding to the selected area, a template matching part 14 for matching the prepared template with images supplied from a moving image storage part, a template correction part 15 for correcting the template prepared in the template preparation part 13 corresponding to the matching result and a deformation correction part 16 for comparing the template prepared in the template preparation part 13 and the images supplied from the moving image storage part and correcting the deformation of the template.
