PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide transparent pulp paper in which absorptivity of water-soluble color ink is excellent and also precise printing is enabled without causing bleeding of ink and smoothness of the surface is excellent and to provide a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: The transparent pulp paper is constituted of pulp of the trunk and stem of a gramineous plant as a main component and substantially does not contain a filler and smoothness of the surface is at least 500 seconds. In this case, pulp containing pulp of the trunk and stem of the gramineous plant as the main component is formed into wet paper by the wire part of a paper machine. Wet paper is compressed to remove moisture contained therein and thereafter dried on a drying drum and the surface is subjected to smoothing treatment in accordance with necessity. |
