摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical signal processor which can stably time division separate superhigh-speed optical signals exceeding 100 Gbit/sec and can pass or branch/insert the optical signals of time division separated channels. SOLUTION: A timing extracting circuit 12 outputs a timing clock having a frequency f/k synchronized to superhigh-speed optical signals having a bit rate (f). A time division separating section time division separates the optical signal of a branch channel and the optical signal of a passing channel from the superhigh-speed optical signals by means of a light modulator 13 which is driven in accordance with the timing clock and outputs the separated optical signals. An optical delay control section 16 controls the replacement between the time slots of the optical signal of the passing channel and the optical signal newly inserted into the branch channel. A clock light source 18 outputs a clock optical pulse having a frequency (f) synchronized to the timing clock having the frequency f/k and a time division multiplexing section 17 ANDs the clock optical pulse and the optical signal of each channel outputted from the control section 16 and outputs the time division multiplexed superhigh-speed optical signals having the bit rate (f).
