PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolyte for a lithium secondary battery having high ionic conductivity and good mechanical characteristics. SOLUTION: An electrolyte for a lithium secondary battery contains at least a composite material of alkoxy modified dialkyl polysiloxane and polyalkylene oxide. The electrolyte for the lithium secondary battery containing at least the composite material of alkoxy modified dialkyl polysiloxane and polyalkylene oxide is impregnated in a nonwoven fabric, gelled, and this impregnated nonwoven fabric is carried between a positive electrode and a negative electrode to manufacture the lithium secondary battery.
