<p>Aryl-imidazol-1-yl vinyl ethers and their acid addition salts are disclosed, the ethers having the formula: (I) Ar in the formula denotes a heterocyclic or aromatic ring structure, R denotes an unbranched or branched saturated or unsaturated aliphatic or cycloaliphatic group containing up to 12 carbon atoms, and has the meaning given for Ar or can denote hydrogen, Im represents a 1-H-imidazol-1-yl group which is optionally substituted and Y has the meaning given for R, exclusive of hydrogen, or denotes alkyl ?lkyl whose aliphatic carbon chain is optionally once or twice interrupted by -O-, -S-, -SO- or -SO2- bridges. These compounds are effective with spectrum fungicides and bactericides and are produced by reacting an appropriate 1-aryl-acyl imidazole with an appropriate halide.</p> |
