PURPOSE:To make a mode specification of a sorter unnecessary, by functioning respectively a sorter as a collator mode in case that a copying machine main body is arraged in a sheet mode, while a sorter as a sorter mode in case of a book mode. CONSTITUTION:When a sorter selection key on an operation part which is not shown in a figure is depressed a changeover lever 102 is driven and transfer paper discharged from a copying machine main body passes through a bridge mechanism 103 and is stored in turn to each storing tray 107 by a pin shift roller 106. In case that a copying is performed in a book mode in a copying machine, a sorter signal is outputted from the main body side to a sorter 101 side and the papers are stored one by one in turn from a storing tray 107-1 on the uppermost step to the lower step side tray 107-2 and so on. In case of a sheet mode copying, a collator signal is supplied and in a one copying operation, i.e. all transfer papers of plural originals Os which are placed on a sheet original inserting stand 55 are stored in the same storing tray 107-1. |
