PURPOSE:To improve the utilization rato of a transfer sheet by providing exclusive heat generating heads corresponding to a plurality of transfer sheets different single colors and a rotary transfer body adapted to retransfer ink onto a paper receiving it from the transfer sheets. CONSTITUTION:Exclusive heat generating heads 31-34 are provided corresponding to transfer sheets 201-204 in single colors having ink layers of black, red, blue and yellow. Image signals Ea are separated into color signals of black, red, blue and yellow with a color signal separation circuit 23. Lags in the recording timing due to the distance between the heat generating heads 31-34 are corrected with delay circuits 221-223 and the heat generating heads 31-34 are driven generating heat via recording control circuits 91-94. When recording signals of colors are applied to the heat generating heads 31-34 by the scanning unit, transfer sheets 201-204 each get in contact with transfer rolls 241-244 to transfer color inks onto a dummy transfer sheet 26 on a transfer roll. Then, the inks are retransferred onto a recording paper 2 in contact therewith to make an image recording. |
