<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a liquid crystal element suitable for mass production generating no scattering domain by using specified fluorine-contg. polymer between an electrode and a liquid crystal phase. CONSTITUTION:Orientation control film comprising fluorine-contg. polymer is used between an electrode and a liquid crystal phase in a liquid crystal element having twisted spiral structure within a range from 200 deg.C-250 deg.C. Such orientation control film having >=3 deg. tilt angle is prepd. by carrying out, for example, polycondensation reaction of a diamine compd. and a dibasic acid hydrazide, etc., with tetracarboxylic anhydride and halogenated dibasic acid, etc. Further, polycondensed polymers may be mixed with each other, or a silane coupling agent, SiO2, Al2O3, TiO2, etc., may e used in combination therewith.</p> |
