<p>The beams are prefabricated from reinforced concrete and form an articulated frame which prevents erosion by waves, water currents or the wind. A central section of the frame is triangular and made up of three inclined beams, two of which are interconnected by a transverse deflector and supported by the third beam, the lower ends of each beam being pivotally secured to the remainder of the frame which is disposed along the ground. The front of the frame incorporates a spade whilst the rear of the frame incorporates a cross-member through which anchorage rods pass into the ground.</p> |
