Flexible plastics sealant contg. coal tar or petroleum oil - polyvinyl chloride and epoxy! resin, for jointing concrete slabs

Sealant comprises a mixt. (1) of coal tar oil or petroleum oil opt. contg. coal pitch; (2) PVC; and (3) an epoxy resin contg. a hardener. Pref. compsn. comprises 20-80% of coal tar oil or petroleum oil and 80-20% of (2) + (3). The amt. of hardener in (3) varies according to the required flexibility. The compsn. is pref. injected into the joints at 50-170 deg.C. Used for injecting into joints between concrete slabs in e.g. airport runways, parking areas etc.. Use of (2) and (3) imparts flexibility to the compsn..
