摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To regenerate waste activated carbon used for the water-treatment, etc. and containing large amount of water, by reactivating the waste activated carbon by continuous fluidization process while utilizing the heat generated in deodorization furnace. CONSTITUTION:The regeneration process for waste activated carbon is composed of the drier 1, the regeneration furnace 5 consisting of the combustion chamber 12 and the regeneration chamber, and the deodorization furnace 19. The waste activated carbon charged through the path 4 is dropped in the regeneration chamber to the part 10 to form a fluidized layer 8, and is regenerated by the combustion gas blown through the perforated straightening plate 7, and discharged from the regenerated carbon discharging port 11. The residence time of the carbon can be controlled by adjusting the height of the discharging port 11. Gas composed of combustion gas and steam is blown from the combustion chamber 12 through the straightening plate 7 into the activated carbon layer 8 in the regeneration chamber, and introduced through the path 3 into the drier 17. Since the gas discharged from the outlet 18 of the drier has usually ill odor, it is mixed in the deodorization furnace 19 with the combustion gas generated by the burner 20, and deodorized at high temperature. The waste heat of the gas is recovered by the jacket 23, and further utilized by the heat exchanger 24 for the preheating of air introduced into the system.</p>
