PURPOSE:To utilize hydraulic power as a lift and a drag by providing the section of the blades of lower part submerged waterwheel with aerofoils. CONSTITUTION:The blade 6 is provided with the aerofoil section and the hydraulic power is utilized not only for a dynamic pressure but also for the lift and the drag of the blade in accordance with the position of the rotating blade 6. According to this method, the flow speed reduction of water stream passing through the waterwheel is improved and a hydraulic power restoring distance at the downstream of the wheel is shortened. As a result, many lower part submerged waterwheels may be installed in the same water path. The effect of the water stream is different with respect to the position of the blade of the rotating waterwheel, therefore, the aerofoil having no directional characteristics is suitable for the aerofoil for the blade. |
