PURPOSE:To make equal the flame propagation distances in various directions in a combustion chamber by a structure wherein the ceiling surfaces of the combustion chamber by a structure wherein the ceiling surface of the combustion chamber is formed by two inclined surfaces sloping down from a ridgeline lying nearly middle part of the combustion chamber to both sides of the ridgeline, on one surface of which two suction ports are arranged and on the other surface of which an ignition source is arranged at the position opposite to the second suction port. CONSTITUTION:The ceiling surface 7 of a combustion chamber 6 consists of two inclined surfaces 71 and 72 sloping down from a ridgeline 8 lying nearly middle part of the combustion chamber 6 to both sides of the ridgeline. A first suction port 91 and a second suction port 92, the port diameter of which is smaller than that of the first suction port 91, are formed on one inclined surface along the ridgeline 8. An exhaust port 10 is arranged opposite to the first suction port 91 and an ignition source 12 is arranged opposite to the second suction port 92 on the other inclined surface. Due to the configuration just mentioned above, the ignition source 12 can be positioned near the central part of the ceiling surface of the combustion chamber without being interfered with valve parts, resulting in making the flame propagation distances in the various directions of the combustion chamber equal and enabling to quickly burn mixture. |
